This evening we will be screening our first piece of self-created moving imagery. Yes, we've made a film. Well, almost. Nun Heads is a compilation of clips of nuns from various films including Bad Lieutenant, The Singing Nun and Agnes of God, that focus on the plight of the nun. And yes, it does seem to be a plight, except when they're singing. They doubt, cry, bleed, admonish and kill but don't seem to have much fun. The original idea simply arose because this will be part of the Nunhead Rewind programme showing in Nunhead Corner on Nunhead Green. Focusing on heads of nuns seemed an obvious option. Various shops along Evelina Road will be hosting films and this will be followed by a screening of Be Kind, Rewind on Nunhead Green. The programme is part of the Peckham and Nunhead Free Film Festival which started yesterday.
